Carole was a lover of all wildlife and animals, but particularly cats. She became a breeder of Abysinninans, a judge at cat shows and was a well loved and respected member of the Abysininan Cat Club holding key roles. As well as her own cats, she also got adopted by local strays. She was passionate about cat welfare and would often ensure any strays that arrived on her doorstep (and were not owned by somebody local), also received veterinary care.
