Hello friends, meet Carol.
Carol’s house was caught in the path of the Alameda fire and burned down on September 8th, 2020.
Thankfully, she had her emergency supplies packed, but lost all her possessions in the fire.
To add to this devastation, Carol is also caring for her long-time love, Doug, who is in hospice care.
Her attitude is full of abundance and hope despite the loss she is facing.
On a zoom call with the family, she essentially said, “I look forward to starting new. I have nothing from the house, none of Papa's art, but I'm going to rebuild."
Carol’s goal is to get back to her house someday and restore her community.
If you have the ability, please consider supporting Carol during this time.
Her most critical needs will be to find a place to rent and to purchase new clothes.
She has temporary housing thanks to her generous co-workers but this arrangement is very short-term. The average rental in her area is about $1,500.00 and she will have to pay that until her house is rebuilt.
We have a goal of raising $50,000.00.
I’ve known Carol’s generosity for the last 30 years, and I can say that she is the first to help another.
Please stay tuned for an update on this, as we are just beginning this journey with Carol.
Love, Annette Rogers, sister in law of Carol Lee Rogers, of Talent, Oregon.
