Carol Simon

My sister Carol, the strongest person I know, has had her life upended by stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is in urgent need of support.

Those of you who know and love this extraordinary woman as we do will understand the terrible impact that her illness and treatment are having. She is not able to work, and has a long road ahead of her.

Carol has been a dedicated source of support and companionship for our Living brother Kenny and especially for our 98-year-old mother -- ensuring that she has her care and practical needs handled, and can live at home rather than in an assisted living facility.

Carol has always been the kind of person who wouldn't hesitate to step up in support of family and friends. Now it is time for her to receive in the same way that she has always given so much. Please donate what you can.

Although insurance will cover her treatment, without employment the home situation is deteriorating fast. As many of you know, Carol is the type of person who does not ask for help. I am humbled but glad that I can do this simple thing for her. Please join our effort to get her through this ordeal with at least the financial crisis being eased, while she does the hard part.
