My mom (Carol Petrovich) was diagnosed with ALL which is acute lymphoblastic leukemia two weeks prior to Christmas. She went into ER for a back problem when it was discovered that her bloodwork was suspicious. She went in the next day and was admitted to the hospital the following day. She has already done one round of chemotherapy and will have several more rounds of chemo for the next 6 months.
Mom has always been a giver. She'd drop whatever she was doing to help someone out. Whether it's moving someone across state lines, babysitting, coming to get you when your car breaks down or even rescuing and fostering dogs; she's given much of her time to helping others. Even on a very tight income, she'd shuffle around finances or go without in order to help someone else out.
Because of her very limited income, it's a daunting
thought to imagine how she will be able to cover her deductible along with the ongoing care once in remission. Since she was hospitalized in December, she will incur two deductibles as well.
Now it's her time to be taken care of. It is her time to be the recipient of giving. As much as I know that she will not want people to put themselves out for her, I am asking that you help, in any way you can, so that Mom doesn't have to deal with the stress of wondering how she will pay for this treatment. Instead, I want her to only concentrate on her health and beating this disease.
Thank you all for your help. Prayers and well wishes are encouraged as much as financial help as well.
