Hi! My name is Tara and I’m fundraising for Carol to help her pay for Mia’s medical expenses.

Mia is a beautiful Weimaraner who was lovingly brought into a wonderful home with Carol and her son 10 years ago. I was there the day this beautiful pup came home. She was, and is, is so sweet and energetic, and otherwise still very healthy!

Sweet Mia has been going through some testing this past week for a mass that is on her throat.

She has had blood work, a urine sample, X-ray and biopsy however the tests have been inconclusive.

A CT scan is required for a clear picture of what exactly the mass consists of and for the next steps/removal.

This must be performed by a board certified specialist in Ottawa, Capital City Speciality and Emergency Animal Hospital where they have the CT scan as well as an oncology department.

The CT scan alone is approx. $3200 and this doesn’t include the follow up appointment nor any next steps.

Carol and her son are lifelong animal lovers who regularly give of their time, money, and energy in support of safety and protection of other animals everywhere, and now are needing the same from us.

Mia could not be more loved! But emergencies happen, and we all unfortunately know that love doesn’t pay the bills. In today’s world, it’s almost impossible for a working single parent to put money away for anything, nonetheless unexpected medical problems for their furry family members. This is why Carol, proud as she is, is reaching out to family, friends, and like minded animal lovers for some support in this scary and difficult time.
