Carol Makana Berg

Hello Everyone,

We have set up this fundraiser to help Carol Makana Berg pay for medically needed dental surgery and specialized dentures. The medication that Carol has been taking since her stroke has contributed to increased deterioration of the health of her teeth. Unfortunately, last year Carol Makana sustained some injuries due to a fall. She sustained a concussion and broke a tooth that ended up having to be extracted. This tooth was one of the anchors for her partial dentures that she has currently. In a more recent visit to the dentist Carol was told that her remaining teeth need to be surgically removed due to their condition and she now needs dental surgery and specialized dentures. As you may or may not know dental work is very expensive and dental coverage by insurance is limited. We have had consultations and received quotes from several different dentists and the treatment plan ranges from $36,000 to $60,000. Savings and insurance will cover a portion of the cost and we are looking into dental financing; however, the payments on the remaining balance thus far are not affordable without this fundraiser.
