One of my best friends  of over 30 years  Carol Hilgenberg was recently diagnosed with cancer. She has a very large tumor in her abdomen attached to her kidney and liver, on October 26th she will be going in for surgery and have the tumor removed along with one kidney and maybe part of her liver.  Chemo will follow after surgery and a long road to recovery.  

Carol and Dale have been married for over 40 years and have 3 son's and 4 grandsons who she totally adores and they adore her back.  Carol and Dale are lifetime residents of Waukee Ia. They appreciate the lifelong friends they have made and support and sense of community.

Carol's insurance unfortunately doesn't cover the life saving Chemo treatments that she desperately needs to save her life. It also only minimally covers her surgery and hospital stay and further appointments she will have.  

To help Carol and Dale cover portion of her medical expenses I would be as would the Hilgenbergs so grateful for ay support you are able to give.  We know times are tuff for a lot of people right now so please know that any amount you can give will help them tremendously.
