On December 30th Carol and Lee Heisz were involved in a serious car accident while on their way home from visiting family for the holidays. Lee unfortunately did not survive the crash, Carol was taken via medflight to a trauma center in Joplin, Missouri. She suffered a spinal injury and will require extensive surgeries, eventual medical transport back home to Wisconsin and a long, difficult recovery as a parapalegic.
