Carol DiPrima is a woman who exudes love and light. She is the mother of four amazing children: Caleb, Ruth, Zach, and John. Mike is her loving husband, and Carol is a grandmother to Aura Pearl. Anyone who has met Carol knows she has strong will and a compassionate heart. Carol watched me and Zach grow up; I've known her for 16 years.

 

On Tuesday, February 1, Carol and John were involved in a severe car accident on Route 1 in Edgecomb. John sustained only minor injuries, and Carol was transported to Miles Hospital, then to Maine Med in Portland by LifeFlight helicopter.

 

Carol is tough, and we all pray for her every single day and we know she will pull through.

 

As of today, February 5, Carol is stable, in critical care and sedated, and breathing on a ventilator. Her family has not yet been able to visit her in the hospital.

 

The family's expenses from this accident are innumerable and her road to recovery will take time. I imagine the toll it will take financially will be much greater than the "goal" for this campaign. So please, give whatever you can. If you are unable to give money, keep Carol in your prayers and thoughts. Compassion will bring us through this difficult time.
