Carol Black, is a Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology member and a dedicated supporter of our organization. She lost her beloved brother, Richard Gottfried, 10/27/2018 as part of an unthinkable act of hatred and violence. Carol and her brother attend Congregation New Light services at the Tree of Life Synagogue each week. This week, Carol survived but her brother did not. 

Carol is a private practice owner. We hope that funds in this campaign will support Carol in her private practice as she takes time away to grieve. Funds will be distributed directly to Carol's Business and will not be going to the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology in any way.

PAA wishes to express our deepest condolences to all affected by the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, and especially to Carol as she was directly affected. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you today and as you continue to heal. #StandWithPittsburgh
