On Saturday, April 2, Carmen and her husband Jose suffered an apartment fire caused by a faulty window air conditioning unit.  Most of their belongings were destroyed by the fire or by smoke damage.  In addition, they have to find a new place to live as the repairs to the apartment are scheduled to take at least 6 months and the management company does not have any other units available.  

We are looking to provide emergency assistance and relief during their time of transition.  We hope to help them with the immediate expenses associated with relocating, salvaging whatever they can, and replacing what they need most at this time.
