Carmen’s Crusade
Donation protected
Following a few neurological events, Carmen went to Riverside Methodist Hospital to undergo testing to find out the cause of the seizures. One of those tests revealed a lesion on her brain. On Thursday May 26 Carmen underwent surgery for a biopsy. During the surgery they decided they needed to remove as much of it as possible. The surgery was a success, most of the tumor was removed and there were no post operative complications.
On Tuesday June 14, Carmen had her first appointment with her oncologist to gain more information from the pathology results. It was learned that it is Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma (PXA). We are waiting further results to determine the grade of the tumor which will finalize the treatment plan, but radiation, and likely chemotherapy are both in the plan.
At this point Carmen is unable to work. This fund is to help her with expenses, gas to get to and from treatment, as well as the fee she has to pay to get out of her lease. Any amount is helpful and appreciated. Prayers are extremely appreciated as well. Thank you and God Bless.
