My dad and mom had just recently celebrated their 50th marriage anniversary.

She loved to garden and she loved flowers. She loved to give flowers to venerate Holy Mother Mary. Her children would bring her much happiness. She was a devout Catholic who would pray for anyone who needed it. She was a selfless woman who put others needs before her own.

Maria was a local from Mission, Texas who loved to spread smiles when she worked at Walmart. It brought her so much joy to bring more happiness to those around her. She loved it so much but had to stop because of her health.

She loved to go to the Border Theater thus supported the local cinema.

She was an avid supporter and was proud of UTGRV, Mission Eagles, O’Grady’s, and K. White Hawks.

She supported her children’s musical abilities and involvement in Mission Choir and Mission High School marching band.

She was a devoted Christian Catholic who would pray multiple times a day for the needs of others.
