My beloved sister, Carmen, passed away on March 21, 2023. My niece, Lisa Reichelt, has been her caregiver, for the last 10 years, sacrificing her own career as a teacher. In August 2021, my sister's health started to deteriorate, and my niece kept shuttling back and forth between two different hospitals, and a rehab facility, tending to everything my sister needed. As a result, bills started piling up. My niece currently has no resources to pay for her funeral, and to maintain the house until she can go back to work. In addition, the death benefit from my sister's employer, New York State, will not be paid out for around 6 months or more! Please help us out. I, myself, am in no financial position to help since I am on a fixed income.
