Carmen Mendez Post Surgery Recovery

Hi, my name is Danae Quintero, and I am fundraising for my dear friend Carmen Mendez, whom I have known for 25 years. Carmen is one of the most resilient and kindhearted people I know, but she is currently facing a challenging recovery after undergoing cervical fusion surgery.

We are thankful for God's Mercy and faithfulness! The surgery went well and without complications. We are also thankful for each and every prayer.

Her surgery was more complex than originally planned. Her surgeon fused C-1 through T-2 plus her skull. Carmen’s healing process, will need a long term 24/7 care giver. Having her immune system compromised because of her RA requires her isolation to minimize risks of infection ot any other contageous illness. We will also appreciate your donations to make this slow and long process less stressful to Carmen and her immediate family. Your donations will help to cover medical expences, medications, and care provider.

Carmen has battled rheumatoid arthritis for years, and this surgery was necessary to improve her quality of life. However, the medical expenses, along with the costs of home care during her recovery, have become overwhelming. She needs financial support to cover medical bill and essential home assistance so she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship. Lastly, she asks for your continued prayers for a smooth and complication-free recovery.

Carmen does not have any extended family in GA, only her husband and sons. Her husband took some time from his Job to take care of Carmen and younger son but he will be returning to work soon. Her older son is away in college.
