My mother, Carmen Escobar, was a kind, generous, and loving woman whose unconditional love of life and of people touched everyone she came into contact with. In spite of years battling the debilitating effects of end-stage renal disease, she always managed to find joy for herself and others.

On June 30th, she passed away peacefully after a battle with necrotizing fasciitis and ventilator-associated pneumonia.

The funds raised here will be used for transportation of her cremated remains and a memorial service here and in her home country: Bolivia.

The memorial service and mass will happen on Thursday, July 13th from 1-3PM at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Chantilly, VA.
