Carmela (Crown Heights Apartment Building Fire)

On 5/22/2023, the apartment where Carmela was residing at in Crown Heights caught fire. You might have heard about it on the news. She has been living there for over 30 years and the incident caused her to lose her entire apartment, everything is gone! All the memories, all the pictures, clothes, gone! She is 86 years old and in the hosptial recuperating as we speak. She inhaled a lot of smoke and carbon monoxide (not life threatening amount) and has to be on a ventilator and has to be sedated for over a week. She is beloved by family, friends, neighbors and church members.

We wanted to raise money so when the apartment is fixed again the funds can be used to get her all new things again for your apartment and get her life back together and have an emergency fund to pay any medical bills if necesary.

When she wakes up from sedation and recovery we want to surprise her with this so she can know that everything is going to be okay and not carry a burden on her back with finanical problems.
