Hi! My name is Carly, and I will be graduating early from Atherton High School in the next two weeks! This fall, I’ll be attending St. Catherine University in Minnesota to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse.
Many of you know me from the YMCA, where I work as a lifeguard and member services associate. The Y has meant so much to me and has helped shape my passion for helping and caring for others. Working there has taught me responsibility, how to stay calm in emergencies, and how important it is to look out for the people around you.
Before starting nursing school, I’m working to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) so I can gain hands-on experience caring for patients and build a strong foundation in healthcare. I’ve enrolled in a CNA class that begins in April, but the cost of tuition, materials, and certification is about $1,000.
Because I’m graduating early and preparing to move for college this fall, I’m raising funds to help cover the cost of the program. Becoming a CNA will allow me to start working in healthcare while in school and better prepare me for nursing.
Any support—whether through donating or sharing—would mean so much to me. Thank you for helping me take the first step toward my career in nursing and for being part of my journey!
