Hi my name is Mike, my best friend Carly who is 31 needs artificial disc replacement surgery for 2 discs. First is the disc between L4/L5, the second is between L5/S1. She has had back pain for quite a few years and in April 2025 her disc between L5/S1 herniated so bad that it took walking and she went in for a discectomy in August 2025 and afterwards had hope of no pain but a week and a half later the same disc re-herniated.

We went in for a special consultation with German neuro surgeons who agreed that the two disc's needed replacing. they were both very honest and knowledgeable and assured us that they're is a very, very high success rate. we also got to talk to a few people that have had the surgery and they have had great lives after having disc's replaced. The surgery is very expensive and is not available in Canada as they won't approve the artificial disc's for the replacement surgery, so she needs to travel to Germany to get the best care and latest technology to have it done properly. Any help you would be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated in the hopes that she will finally be able to have a happy and pain free life to enjoy.
