Hello, my name is James Owens. My wife Carly was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer back in 2020, in 2021 she went through some of the most difficult of procedures that are available for her cancer. We reached out to the community for help with her last procedures and the community came through tremendously for her. I am asking for the communitys help again with assistance in travel, gas and being out of work to be with my wife in her time of need. It's been a year and 9 months since her last major surgery and now that she has been beating the fight against cancer now. The doctors wanna move on to the next step in her battle. She will have to undergo a colostomy closure/revision, and exploratory surgery for any possible cancers that can be removed. A bilateral ureteral ileal interposition will be performed. They will be reconstructing part of the kidney ureters to help her with kidney function.. all these procedures will be done on the 27th of April at the city of hope medical center, under the care of Dr Joshua g cohen.
