Carly and Chris are longtime close family friends, and recently Carly has suffered a brain injury due to post Covid viral inflammation. Doctors believe there was unresolved concussion damage that has been activated by this inflammation, plus unique symptoms specific to long Covid.

Since December, Carly has been fighting with everything she has to get better, working with practitioners who deal with both brain injury and long Covid.

Carly has not been able to work, drive or care for her children normally in nearly four months, and this coupled with mounting medical bills has been financially crippling for the family.

She will be moving to inpatient care in order to get to a more stable place shortly. Once that’s complete, she will begin a full time outpatient brain therapy treatment. This is a massive undertaking and although they do have insurance, there are so many treatments that are not covered.

Additionally, Chris desperately needs to hire help with childcare as he cannot take any more time off work and is currently the sole breadwinner for the family.
