Hello Everyone! To friends and family, thank you for visiting. To anyone who may see this page elsewhere I thank you as well. I have included a link to my website where you can view my work, I would be thrilled for you to take a look at it.
This past May I finished two amazing years at Interlochen Arts Academy studying in the Visual Arts department. I focused my time in fibers, fashion, and costumes, but I explored many mediums. I was honored to work in multiple independent studies and one with Interlochen's costume designer. In my time there I costume designed and coordinated for multiple student dance pieces and a student directed film. I also worked on two collaborations, one with a professional choreographer, dance students, and other visual artists, and the other with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, as well as music, dance, and other visual arts students. I have been in multiple workshops with visiting artists, have had an absolutely amazing faculty, and have spent countless hours working in the studios. All of these experiences have helped me move towards my future goals and have been an absolute challenge and pleasure to learn from. I ended junior year with an award in Fine Arts, and during the first part of my senior year competed in both YoungArts finishing as a regional winner, and Scholastics where I was awarded five regional gold keys and one national silver key. This year I graduated with a Outstanding Achievment in Visual Arts, Young Artist Award, and the President's Award in Art. I could not be more thankful for all of the opportunities the school, faculty, family, and friends have opened up to me over the past few years and I cannot wait to continue my studies, working, and experience.
I have just started my first year and Central Saint Martins, under University of the Arts, London. I have been dreaming of coming here for three years and being here is unlike anything I've ever experienced. I am studying as a part of a diagnostic foundation course where I will spend two months practicing in all art and design fields and then choose a specific route for the remainder of the year. My plans are to continue studies in fashion and costume design and go into the field of costume design for film, dance, theater, and any other performances. It was through amazing support that I was able to make it here this year but I am short on my ability finance the whole year.
If anyone can contribute any amount it would be appreciated so greatly! Every bit of support I can get helps so much. If you cannot I understand, thank you for your time and reading. Please spread this around and help me fully realize this year and wonderful experience!
