Carly Woods tribute

This is the Official go fund me page of the beloved Carly Woods set up by the family together and has been authorised by John and Kelly. We are aware that other pages have been set up in tribute of Carly.

We would like to tell a little story of Carly Woods aged 11. Who went to Lathom High school year 7. Carly was took into A&E Ormskirk Monday 4th October due to having stomach pains. Carly had to stay the night and have some tests run, and then was moved to Alder hey hospital on Friday 8th October. After more tests had been ran, the diagnosis was confirmed, Carly had developed a rare type of cancer in the liver, which had spread to the lungs.

Carly had to have more tests and a biopsy on Monday 11th October so the specialist can put a plan of action in place. It was confirmed on Wednesday 13th October the name of the diagnosed cancer was called Hepatocellular neoplasm not otherwise specified HC-NOS.

On Friday 15th October Carly had to have a operation to put chemotherapy lines in, but unfortunately this rare type of Cancer was to aggressive to be treated. This had lead to the medical decision to not continue any type of treatment.

Carly unfortunately passed away on 1st November 2021 at 9.20pm with John (father) Kelly (mother) by her side. This has undoubtedly left the whole family heart broken and sent a ripple effect through the whole of Skelmersdale. Carly touched many hearts in the community.
