Our dear friend Carly James, a 42-year-old single mum, was sadly taken away from her two children Bree and Lachlan. She battled lung cancer for the last three years. Lung cancer is still very stigmatised as a “self-inflicted disease” related to smoking. However, Carly was amongst the small percentage of non-smokers who was unfortunately diagnosed with this disease. She was initially misdiagnosed, had many complications along the way which made this time in her life a quite traumatic and challenging one for her and her family. Despite this diagnosis, Carly never gave up and tried to live her life to the fullest when she could, as she endured her brave battle. Those of us, who knew Carly, all knew how hard she fought so that she could live as long as she could for her children, Bree and Lachlan. They were and always will remain the most important people in her life that she loved unconditionally.
We as her family and friends in one way or another promised Carly that if there ever came a time for her to part that we would help and support Bree and Lachlan in any way that we could. This is why we have set up this Go Fund account up in their names so that we as her family and friends can help them through this difficult time and they are able to access any funds immediately.
By helping Bree and Lachlan we will be able to assist them and ease the burdens of everyday life while they come to grips to adjusting to a life without their dear Mother Carly. So if there is any amount big or small please donate so that we can all help Bree and Lachlan. Thank you for your support.
