Carly Davis

It is so hard to believe that we have lost DS Carly Davis (nee. Lynch) after a really short but incredibly brave fight against a very rare form of cancer having been diagnosed 12 weeks earlier. She was only 44.

Carly leaves behind her beloved husband (Neil Davis) and her two boys, Harry (11) and Joe (9) (both lovers of football and avid Chelsea Fans) and her brother Ben with whom she was very close, plus many other devastated family members and friends. She was an incredibly popular lady both inside and outside of work, a great friend to those lucky enough to know her and was a regular feature at the sidelines, cheering on her sons at their footie games not letting the great British weather deter her.

Carly joined the MPS in November 2005, she was a kind, calm and gentle lady, nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Carly was a first class detective and a brilliant supervisor, we will all miss hearing her infectious laugh during our daily meetings however the job she loved the most was being a mum to her two boys who she cherished and adored. Her loss is felt every day - the world was a better place for having Carly in it.
