Carly (Bug) and Vanessa

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, Carly was attacked by a dog. She was taken to Houston Medical Center where she was stabilized and then transferred to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. She has since been taken into surgery. There is no set timeline yet on how long they will be there or what her recovery will look like, but it is guaranteed that Vanessa, Carly’s mother, will be out of work for a while to care for her on top of traveling for appointments and back and forth to Atlanta. As any mother knows, by your baby’s side is where you want to be, especially at a time like this where your baby is hurt and needs you. Anything will help support this family in the coming weeks as they work through this trauma and work to get Carly healed. Most of all, prayers are needed that this baby be comforted and heal, for the medical team caring for her, and comfort for Vanessa as she sits by her baby’s side through the process.
