Carlton Needs You: Art for Hope

Hi, most of you reading this know me already, for those that don’t, my name is Carlton and I’m an artist and tattooer here in Las Cruces, NM. Some time ago I was diagnosed with stage one non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I began treatment sometime ago and thankfully I’m currently diagnosed as NED(No Evidence of Disease). And I realize how lucky and blessed I am to receive that. Unfortunately regardless of my diagnosis I have to continue the full cycle of medication that I am currently on. I am the last three months of my treatment and my dosages are at their peak. I am struggling physically and mentally to handle that. The past two months has been the worst but the past month has been excruciating. I am doing this because , although I have a great place to work, sadly I haven’t been able to work as much as I have needed to. I go in when I am able and it seems like more and more I’m absent. I feel guilty for asking for help but I don’t have any family that I can ask and my close friends have helped me so much already that I cannot ask for more. So I’m here creating a GoFundMe in hopes that I can raise the money to make it through the next month or two. I feel greedy and lazy and I’m sorry to ask but I really don’t have any other options. Through this process I have exhausted my savings and I don’t have a lot of things worth value so this is sort of a last resort. However, I don’t want to just take money so if you donate I will reach out and get your information and send you some artwork or some custom drawings or paintings. I want to be able to work for my money so this is difficult. My mother and my father both died of cancer and I am grateful that I have been able to beat that so far. Honestly the mental part of it is something I’m struggling with these days. The physical part has been there throughout the treatment, but mentally I feel like I’m breaking down a little bit and I’m so close to the finish line.
