Our grandfather Carl brought this land years ago as a way for animals to have a safe place. Cats, dogs and horses called this land home along with him. Sadly, Carl is now ill with dementia. Alzheimer's is a disease that has affected many lives and our family is now experiencing the pain of having a loved one suffering with it. Due to this, his home and animal sanctuary are now at risk. We wish to continue caring for Carl in his home and preserving his legacy by keeping his rescued animals where they've found a loving home. But we don't have the money. If we can pay what we need to pay the bank, we can continue to keep this land the way Grandpa Carl wants it. He can no longer understand what is going on around him, but I know he would want to continue to have his land be used towards keeping animals safe. We appreciate any help given towards this goal.
