Hello, my name is Carl Shuler and my friends know how hard this is for me, but I have been put into a situation that leaves me no other choice. I have always been the first one to offer help to others in any way I can, and never ask for anything in return because I am just happy to be able to help, which is more than enough. I have never been the kind of person to ask for help of any kind for myself if I can make do by myself. My wife is disabled and I have been forced to retire in order to help her with daily needs.

In the summer of 2023, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Without any medical insurance, I have been responsible for all costs associated with treatment, which has caused me to struggle with finances to keep my regular monthly expenses paid.

I was recently required to undergo surgery to remove the cancer tumor and half of my thyroid gland. The cost of the treatments and surgery has risen to over $30,000 so far and with my limited income, I am struggling to make ends meet. I am concerned that my medical bills will result in us losing our home unless I can find a way to get them paid.
