Carlota "Lota" Terry Memorial Fund
Donation protected
In loving memory of our cherished Carlota Fernandez Terry, born in Manila on August 1, 1963, and tragically taken from us in San Diego on December 9, 2023, after a sudden hemorrhagic bleed near her brain stem.
Carlota, the second of three sisters, was a beacon of brilliance from her early years, marked by an illustrious, life-long academic journey. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to earn a BA in European Languages, a degree in French to English Translation and a Master's in English Linguistics, which she applied in a career teaching both French and Spanish at the high school and university levels for over two decades. At the age of 45, inspired in part by her son Nick, who is Autistic, she decided to turn her talents to healthcare, eventually receiving her MSc in Nursing. She adored her work and was adored by her patients for the kindness and empathy she displayed as well as her effectiveness as a clinician.
Beyond her career, Carlota's exceptional dedication as a wife and mother shone through. Married to Brad for over 30 years, she was a unique and cherished life partner. She prioritized her children's happiness—Nick, Mika, and Tristan—with unwavering love and support.
Tragically, her sudden absence has created a gaping void, financially as well as emotionally. As the sole breadwinner in the family, her untimely passing has left her husband and children grappling with both grief and uncertainty. We humbly reach out, asking for your generosity during this challenging time. Your support will help Carlota's family navigate the difficult path ahead, easing the financial strain and allowing them to focus on healing from the loss of this beloved wife, mother, and dedicated healthcare professional.
Thank you in advance for your compassion and assistance.
