Hey, this is Carlos.

At the end of June I had a medical emergency that completely turned my life upside down. It’s kept me from work, from walking, from playing with my dogs, from going to concerts and traveling, all the things I love to do. Its kept me from doing the everyday things most of us take for granted.

I spent three weeks in the ICU, another three weeks in the hospital recovering, and then four weeks in a rehab facility. Every day in rehab I pushed myself—through therapy, through the frustration, through the pain—doing whatever it took to move forward and get back home to my life. I’ve made real progress, but the road is still long, and I’m committed to seeing it all the way through.

Even though my rehab stay was covered by insurance, I’ve been left with about $6,000 in uncovered medical bills and recovery expenses. That’s where I could really use some help.
