Carlos Velasquez - A Veteran and Robbery Victim

Local news coverage on robbery
Carlos Velasquez is a family man at heart and proudly served in the Marine Corps for 22 years. Time and time again, he has dropped everything in his life to help family and friends. No matter where he goes, he manages to not only give back but also put a smile on everyone's face.
But on August 7th 2020, he was robbed of $7,000 in broad daylight by two people who followed him to a gas station due to a bank's negligence. We are grateful that he was not harmed during this incident because they could have easily followed him to his own home and a death or injury could have ensued.
He had been tirelessly working to save this money to repair his mother's roof. Those that know him, know that nothing gets him down - not even this. Nonetheless, this robbery has been been a traumatic experience for him. I understand that we are in the middle of truly trying times and many are under financial hardships, however, we are humbly asking for any donations so that he can continue to give back.
All donations will go directly to construction and repair bills. Any contribution, big or small, would be appreciated more than you could possibly know. Thank you so much for reading.
