On Friday December 30th at 3:47 pm, my father Carlos Salgado passed. He was a complicated man and we rarely saw eye to eye on anything but he tried his best. His passing was sudden, unfortunately, he did not have his affairs in order, I am working with my family to get them organized

2022 has brought many challenges to my family: My mother began her second round of chemo, we lost a beloved friend, and now my father’s passing…

I really debated whether to share this news and ask for help. I was worried about what people would think and I feel guilty for not being in a place where I can do this by myself. Truthfully, this has led me to have feelings of inadequacy and after a crazy year, my initial reaction was to incur more debt. I know I could keep this all to myself and carry on without help by pushing my dream back a bit longer. Thank God for counseling! And my good friends who encouraged me to practice what I preach and create space for people to show up for me however they can.

My goal is to raise $3,000 to cover the expenses related to my father’s passing. If we receive any donations over our goal, they will go toward covering my mother’s medical expenses. Thank you all again for your support during this difficult time.
