Carlos Najera funeral and repatriation

My name is Marcos Najera, I am the older brother of the family and in charge of my 2 younger brothers, Juan Carlos and Gloria.

Juan Carlos Najera was the youngest of 3 brothers from Guatemala. A senior at Interlake High School in Bellevue WA where he hoped to graduate next summer days before his 18th birthday. Juan Carlos was an active young man, a lover of football, his school, and his family. He sounded like arranging his documents (Dream Act) so he could go visit his parents in Guatemala wherewith his work he had already bought them a piece of land and wanted to build a house.

Unfortunately, after an active week, working, playing football in the park, and being happy to go to his work and school, on the last Friday of March 2022, and without anyone understanding the reason, Juan Carlos decided to end his life before arriving at his school.

We, his older siblings resort to the solidarity of our neighbors and friends to be able to raise the money necessary to send the body of our younger brother to our parents in Guatemala to bury him and allow them to see him for the last time.

Mi nombre es Marcos Najera, soy el hermano mayor de la familia ya cargo de mis 2 hermanos menores Juan Carlos y Gloria. Juan Carlos Nájera era el menor de 3 hermanos. Estudiante de último año en Interlake High School en Bellevue WA, donde esperaba graduarse el próximo verano días antes de cumplir 18 años.

Juan Carlos era un joven activo, amante del fútbol, de su escuela y de su familia. Sonaba como arreglando sus documentos (Dream Act) para poder ir a visitar a sus padres a Guatemala donde con su trabajo ya les había comprado un terreno y quería construir.

Lamentablemente, luego de una semana activa, trabajando, jugando fútbol en el parque y feliz de ir a su trabajo y escuela, el último viernes de marzo de 2022 y sin que nadie entendiera el motivo, Juan Carlos decidió terminar con su vida antes de llegar a su escuela.

Nosotros sus hermanos mayores recurrimos a la solidaridad de nuestros vecinos, amigos y comunidad para poder recaudar el dinero necesario para enviar el cuerpo de nuestro hermano menor a nuestros padres en Guatemala para enterrarlo y permitir que lo vean por última vez. De antemano les agradecemos su apoyo y colaboración en este momento tan difícil de nuestras vidas.
