Carlos Ortez aka Carlitos aka Los.
A son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson.

He sure was struggling in depression but that didn't stop him from still loving. He battled addiction, alcoholism, demons and self medicating to numb his mental and physical pain, he was troubled and oppressed by demons and regrets.

He blamed himself and at times everyone else for his dads death in February of 2015. He never had the closure he longed for. He missed those last calls.

This doesn't mean he was a bad person....because if you knew him even a little bit you would know this One Thing.....he loved and he had a heart and he cried and he repented and he admitted his wrongs...not always right away but he did....he would try he would fall and he would get up and fall again as we all do.

He hugged lots, he was affectionate and he always reached out to his friends and family ALWAYS REACHED OUT TO YOU! always called and Yes sometimes harassed you at all hours of the night but he needed friends and family to be understanding and sometimes we weren't. At times even I was annoyed and bothered. He was loved and he was cared for and we tried many times to help. There isn't anyone to blame. Don't feel bad for not answering those calls. I get it.

He wasn't always the best friend or a great son or the brother or uncle I hoped so much and knew he could be. He still was my dear brother no matter what and I know he loved me and loved us much.

He was sick..."LEGIT"as he would say. Mentally he declined much in the past 3 yrs his brain actually shrunk, he was having seizures and his liver was shot and pancreas done for....However everyone should know that His Heart was strong till the end I heard every beat as my head laid on his chest. He didn't go fast....his heart didn't want to go.

Please remember the good times the good memories you had. He was fun, funny, kind, smart, and a lil crazy he was loving and a romantic at heart, he was poetic, loved music, art and the ocean he held his friends and family dearly in his heart. Relationships were so important to him.

If you are able to give/donate even the smallest amount it will help to lay him to rest and have a small service for him and help my mother to move into a nicer place with a new start.

We thank everyone for reaching out... thank you for loving Carlos we know he was a huge pain in the booty....but he's at peace now and I look forward to seeing him one sweet day!
