Carlos' Knee Surgery and Recovery Costs.

Dear friends,

I'm reaching out to my community requesting your support in helping cover the costs of 19 year old Carlos Gallegos medical bills and surgery costs. Carlos is very connected with his family and community in his home town Sayulita, Mexico. On April 4th Carlos was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident, just two weeks before his expected participation in MexiLog-Fest surf contest.

The injuries he sustained from his accident are very severe. He split his nose requiring more than 20 stitches, lost two teeth, fractured and tore ligaments in his foot and ankle, and severely damaged his knee, requiring multiple surgeries.

Carlos has already undergone surgery to repair his foot and ankle which was paid for thanks to the support and generosity of his family. He is still in desperate need of two separate surgeries to get him walking again. The first surgery will be to repair the nerves and ligaments in his knee costing anywhere from 170k-200k MXNpesos. Following this surgery will be another to add a new inferior meniscus, as his was lost in the accident. Future major dental work will also be required. The expenses have become too great for his friends and family to cover which is why I am asking for any help you are able to provide.
