Dear Family and Friends,
With deep regret, we inform you that Carlos Humberto Cruz, our father, passed away on 6/11/2022 to an unexpected set of events. On 5/25/2022, Carlos suffered a massive heart attack; after going through several medical procedures and surgeries to save his life, he did not make it and made his transition.
Our father was a caring, humble, loving, and wonderful dad. Our father was a simple man and enjoyed his time relaxing and watching soccer. His kind heart, sense of humor, and laughter will be genuinely missed by all.
In the 80’s, he migrated from El Salvador to the United States. He left El Salvador during the middle of a bloody civil war to protect himself and the search for prosperity. Our father like most migrants, was chasing the “American Dream.” Upon his arrival to the United States he worked many odd jobs, warehouse jobs and ultimately dedicated most of his life to being a cab driver assisting the people of Los Angeles in getting to their destinations safely.
Unfortunately, our family was unprepared for the financial responsibilities of laying our father to rest. So, we are reaching out to you all in support of our father, Carlos. As his children, we would love to give him a fitting celebration of life and lay him to rest as he wished. In this time of need, we ask our family, friends, and community for support in laying our father to rest. We thank you for your kind donations, as every little bit helps.
