Carli’s Appendix Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Well friends the Ganiere (& Melbye) family is gearing up for yet another battle and our family can use some serious love and prayers. At the beginning of July Carli was in intense pain that just wouldn’t let up. After a trip to the ER it was discovered her appendix was ready to rupture. It was taken out and we thought that was the end of it and she’d be on the mend. Her doctor had called her and asked her to come in for what her and our Mom thought was a routine check up after surgery. They were told Carli has: Appendiceal Mucinous Neoplasm (appendix cancer). Yep, you read that right APPENDIX CANCER. Here we are again introducing you all to a new medical term none of us has ever heard of. Even though her appendix was removed there is still cancer remaining. She will have her first meeting with her oncologist on August 22nd. We couldn’t be more thankful that she will be in the most amazing hands of the same oncologists our Mom, Carol has, Dr. Smith. We do know that Carli will have to undergo at least one surgery to remove limp nodes and any remaining cancer attached to any insides. Please keep Carli in your thoughts while she prepares for the unknown. Carli’s daughter, Izabella is going to need some extra lovin as well. She is a girl with very big feelings and her Mommy is her best friend. And Carol could use some prayers for continued good health while she prepares to help her daughter fight a cancer while she continues to live with her own cancer. We appreciate the tribe of people who continue to surround us with love and support every step of the way. August also just so happens to be Appendix Cancer Awareness Month so wear your Amber (a shade between yellow and orange) this month and send Carli your pics of support!
