My name is Carlie Briere. I'm a 13 yr old Life Scout in troop 209 located in Newton, MA. I've partnered with the Vietnam Veterans Workshop, Inc. dba New England Center and Home for Veterans as part of my Eagle Scout Project..

 

The Shelter has 275 beds and the Veterans filling those beds are in desperate need of warm clothing and toiletries. As my project, I'm building each and every one of these veterans a winter clothing care package.   At a minimum it will contain a quality sweat shirt hoodie, sweat pants, wool socks and toiletry kit containing shaving and hygiene items.

 

Sweat Shirts and Sweat pants are of extreme importance at this time of year because they can be used as pajamas during the cold winter nights in the shelter and as an extra layer of clothing during the day. The donations I receive are tax deductible and will go directly toward buying the items mentioned above.
