On the 4th of July our hearts were broken. We learned that our Carlette had gone home to glory. She was a front line worker, a nurse at a NJ Nursing Home, where she battled, overcame and then suddenly succumbed to the after effects of the COVID-19 virus.
Carlette was my big sister and she was that in every way. She kept my secrets, fought my battles, got me out of trouble and sometimes in trouble and always provided wisdom. We laughed, cried and disagreed, but never loved each other any less. She always had my back, told me funny stories, and told funny stories about me!
She was a loving mother to her children Shani and Shomari, loved, protected and provided for them in every way. Did I tell you that she was a phenomenal Nana to her grands Kari, Y'Azhiyah and Mikayla? Well she was.
Carlette had a heart of gold. She gave without hesitation, befriended people others may overlook, approached everyone without judgement, loved the patients she cared for and loved unconditionally. She always had time to hear your story and then find a way to help. She believed in you when others didn't.
Although Carlette had no monetary provisions for a funeral, many of her funeral expenses have been covered, we thank God for His provision! Our family wants to complete what Carlette desired before she left this world, she wanted so much to provide for her children and grandchildren. Encourage them to move forward, think higher and go farther.
Your gifts would assist in covering the remaining funeral fees and any overage would be placed in trust for the children and grandchildren.
We thank you for loving Carlette by providing your gift. A little goes a long way!
We urge you all to pay forward what Carlette lived daily. We ask you to believe in the living God, love with abandon, see people like they matter and give of yourself generously.
I as her sister will be in charge of final expenses.
