Hi everyone, as you all know Carleigh has been hospitalized back and forth for the last 18 months with some severe GI related issues. With absolutely no luck here at our Canadian Hospitals we have decided that it is time to search for appropriate care outside of Canada.
Boston Childrens Hospital has been one of the most recommended childrens hospitals to help Carleigh with all her medical needs.
Before we decide to transfer her care across the border we have signed up for a second medical opinion with the Pediatric Diagnostic Clinic, the program is designed especially for children with complex symptoms who have not yet received a clear diagnosis for their condition. Upon a request for a second opinion they will Review Carleighs medical records and health history, they will evaluate her current diagnosis and treatment recommendations, And Prepare a comprehensive written opinion on Carleighs case, including answers to your specific questions We are hoping to get second opinions on her Neurological & Gastrointestinal conditions. requests cost $1,150 per specialty. We are looking for donations to be able to get a second opinion out of country so that Carleigh can receive appropriate care that the Canadian Health Care System just cannot provide.
