Hi, my name is Chanel and I’m fundraising for my good friend Carlee Jackson. Last night on her way to her family’s home in Alabama for Christmas with her boyfriend Nick and dog Tammy, Carlee’s car, who had been running great and had been a reliable vehicle for her for years, started smoking under the hood while driving on the highway and ultimately blew up, leaving her completely without transportation for the foreseeable future.

When Carlee pulled over onto the side of the highway after noticing smoke and before she could really get a good idea of what was going on, an actual fire had started and her and her boyfriend had to act with only seconds to spare until the car completely combusted into flames, as seen in the pic above.

Carlee was able to rescue her dog and a couple important items in the car but a lot was also left behind and destroyed, including her boyfriend Nicks cell phone, which he uses every day for work.

These two people are incredibly hard working and truly could use a break from this. Insurance has noted that the plan Carlee was under did not cover fire after all, and is now left with the cost of expensive rentals and Ubers until she buys another car, which puts a huge strain on the pair financially as Carlee is also about to enter school full time with little to no extra funds coming in.

This is the least I can do for her and Nick, and hope that if people can spare a couple dollars here and there, eventually she’ll be able to afford a little used car to get her to work and school again.
