Dear Family and friends,
I am asking for your help to invest some of your monies and help me get start up for my upcoming enrollment at Nightingale College for the Advanced Placement for LPN to BSN Program. The application deadline is April 5th 2021. But you all know, I like to be ready way before deadline! Soooo, I am encouraging you to invest your monies to this smart, talented, beautiful Low Paid Nurse (LPN) to become a Rich Nurse (RN). tee hee~
In all seriousness, if you don't already know, I'm actually already a nurse! I am a licensed practical nurse (and verrryyy well-seasoned with your good old Datu Puti soy sauce and Ajinomoto) for going on 8 years now. All LPNs here in the US like to call ourselves, low paid nurses, because, ehem, we do get paid low. It's a step lower than RNs and depending on the state, there really aren't many differences with our duties, other than the (certificate) length of education and the ability to push IV medications. (**see link below) I know I can start IVs given a doctor's orders (and I'm pretty darn good at it too *wink wink*). And well darn it, I want to push IV meds and I want to do more! Like maybe teach? or be a Wound Care Nurse Practioner? I don't know, but what I do know is, I want to expand my horizons and reach my maximum potential because I know there is so much more this 5 feet little being can achieve - And I want to do get my BSN before I reach 30 (3 years guys, time is ticking).

Yes, I do have a full-time job that pays okay. I currently live in Las Vegas with 2 adorable pups, Appa and Miyuki. 2 years ago, I moved here from the bay area California in hopes for financial and mental stability so that when I am ready, I can get this tiny shoe-size-6 little peeeets back up and get that bachelor's degree!! And goooorl I know I am ready. I'm even ready enough to ask for youss beautiful peoples help to gofundme~~ Because, I know can't do this on my own, and I need everyone and anyone's help I can get! And every dollar or peso counts!! and even a supportive "ganbatte~" (good luck in Japanese) private message will mean a great deal to me, and please do let me know how you are doing, I'd love to catch up!

PS: If you know me well, you know that I am the panganay (oldest child) and my beautiful Mama Ghay raised me to be independent, so this is difficult for me. But I learned over the years, with a lot of therapy and support from family and friends, that it is okay to ask for help, so here I am being cute and all. I've included my anticipated tuition and fees below, because if I was on the other side of this gofundme, I would want to know Carleen'sfundisreallygoing so here to my logical and analytical fams and friends, I did some maths and actually brought my tuition down (if I do test out of all of the ones I can, which I do plan on trying to). Whoo hoo me~
UPDATE BECAUSE OF MANY QUESTIONS/COMMENTS RECEIVED:
Question 1: LPNs are nurses, yes, but we don't nearly make as much as RNs hence I did not make much progress like, help my siblings go to school like I planned to, or buy a house for mama, or get a new used car for lenlen cause her's is on it's last vroom lol, or anything like that.. but what I did gain was a huge credit card debt, poor credit score and an unstable mental health. lol. KEYWORD: **WAS** I have therapy now like once a week so, that's not so terrible. haha. jk. no, not jk. It's true, but it's the best thing that I'm doing for myself because now I am happy, motivated, and very loved. My family supports me whether it's with joy, tears, hungry, dumb, or broke, , or all of the above. I won't be here if it wasn't for mama, tita, CJ, gang, and len.
Question 2: Yes, I am applying for students loans AND hopefully I get approved because I currently still have active student loans from LPN school. So if anyone wants to cosign for me, I'm looking for takers. :]
Question 3: Yes, I will be working full-time while going to school. Yes, I can do it. I have a working laptop at home that I can bring literally everywhere. CRUNCH TIME BABYYYY

-Health Assessment HESI Exam to test out of BSN 245: Concepts of Nursing in Chronic Illness 1 - $59/attempt - Two Attempts
-Medical Surgical HESI Exam to test out of BSN 265: Concepts of Nursing in Acute Care 1 - $59/attempt - Two Attempts
