I was diagnosed with Stage 3 uterine cancer in January, had two surgeries, and planning to start radiation therapy in March.
I have medical bills (my insurance only covers 80%) and I have been out of work since January, hopefully going back in April. The funds will help pay for the 20% of the bills I am responsible for, since I will not be earning anything until I can return to work.
The bills have just started to come in, and they will definitely continue through April and beyond. If I can get enough money to continue to pay the bills as they come in, without going into debt, that would be ideal. So any money now or for the next few months will be of tremendous help.
As many who read this know, I have been working for Center Plate at Javits Center for almost 17 years, while also working as a freelance costume designer in New York theater. Some friends and family have kindly offered to help, and so I have decided to set this up so those who want to help have a way to do so.
