Carla Willard's Funeral and Burial
Donation protected
My brothers and I have created this GoFundMe page for our Mom and Dad. All donations will be directly given to our dad, Clint Willard, to pay for our moms funeral and burial costs.
Our mother is Carla Smith-Willard. She is 55 years old and is currently battling breast cancer for the second time. It has spread through out her entire body, into her bones, with her liver taking most of the damage. The cancer is stage 4 and terminal. She has been doing chemo and numerous other treatments options since August 2014. On May 9th, 2017 we received devastating news. All treatments have failed, and the cancer is too aggressive to treat anymore. She has been given weeks to live. Her body could not handle the long car ride back to her home in Florida to live out her final days, so my parents have decided to move into my home for the remainder of our time with her. She has immediately been placed in hospice care here in my home. We know the days and weeks are numbered, so we are trying our best to come up with the funds for her inevitable funeral and burial. We are all asking for donations to make this possible. We received notice today that she no longer has the $5000.00 life insurance policy that we had been expecting for these funeral costs. She has no life insurance at all. We are racing the clock to come up with the funds, so if you are able to donate anything, we would appreciate it more than you can imagine. No donation is too small!
Our mother is such a wonderful person inside and out. I have never met a person that was more generous, helpful, and compassionate than she is. It's hard to believe this is all happening. She absolutely doesn't deserve the hand that she has been dealt, but she is handling it so brave, fierce, and gracefully. She is the most wonderful Mimi and is leaving behind 7 beautiful grand children who are her entire world.
Please keep our mother in your prayers for a peaceful smooth transition when the time arrives. Please pray for our dad as he prepares his final goodbyes to his wife, best friend, and soul mate. And please keep our children (their grandchildren) in your prayers as they start to navigate through life without the world's best Mimi. Thank you all so much for your support!
