Celebrating the Life of Carla Bernadette Evans

I'm Heather, and unfortunately, my amazing mom, Carla Bernadette Evans, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2023. She had been battling metastatic cancer, and it finally took its toll.

Now, my family and I are trying to raise funds to cover the costs of my mom's Celebration of Life. You see, even though she was always prepared for everything, she wasn't prepared for her own passing. Money is tight, and while I did manage to secure a life insurance policy for her, it was just a few days before she passed, so we're not sure if it will cover everything. It's also going to take months to find out.

Originally, we planned for a simple service, which we thought would be enough. But after meeting with the mortuary and discussing our plans, it just didn't feel right. My mom was the ultimate hostess, and it wouldn't do her justice to have just a "basic" service. So now, we're trying to figure out how to cover the remaining costs.

Here's what we've added up so far:

- A food & drinks at post Service Celebration for $1595

- A priest for $250

- Webcasting for $295

- A Life Story display for $895

- And flowers for $1000

To collect donations, we've started a fundraiser for my mom's service. It will be held at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W Warm Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89113, on January 15, 2024, at 3 pm. We need to pay all the remaining funeral costs by January 8, 2024.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are so grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Your support means the world to us.
