Dear Friends and Community, we are reaching out in a time of deep need and heartfelt sadness. Our family is trying to bring our loved one - Carl West - back home to Florida so that we can say our final goodbyes.

Carl once had life insurance, but due to challenging life circumstances and struggles with addiction, that coverage was lost some time ago. Despite the best efforts of his visually impaired brother, Lewis, and our entire family, this was a struggle beyond our control, and one that our loved one could not overcome. As we all know, sometimes help can only go so far if a person is unable to accept it.

All the funds will be sent to his only brother, Lewis West, and these funds will help him and his family to cover expenses:

* Transportation and shipping expenses to bring Carl home to Florida from the Boston area

* Funeral and memorial arrangements

* Transportation to Florida for his Boston family

Now, we’re gathering every resource we can to bring him back home, but we still need a little help. If you’re able to contribute anything at all, it will mean the world to us and allow our family to give him the farewell he deserves.
