Carl Morgan Medical Fund

My nephew Carl was in a really bad car accident on Saturday June 23. He suffered a fractured and lacerated skull, a broken neck and also a nicked spinal cord. He is paralyzed from the chest down. He is currently in UMC Surgical Trauma ICU. The doctors don't think he will ever walk again. They have installed a halo to his skull and started traction to align his vertebra  back in place. He will need surgery later this week. 


Carl is only 33 years old and has a 6 year old son that he loves and adores. Due to a recent divorce, he relocated to Lubbock and was looking for a job.  He doesn't have insurance or an income. That is why I am setting up a Go Fund Me account. He is going to need all the help he can get. Carl is a strong individual, but he is going to be fighting an uphill battle for a very long time.                                                                                                                                                                      

Carl graduated Monterey High School in Lubbock Texas in 2003. He attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University and majored in Exercise Sports Science. Carl was on the wrestling team in Jr. High and High School. He started body building as a teenager. Fitness has always been important to him. He has that advantage to help him in his rehab.  Carl has a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. His favorite bible verse is: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians  4:13

Update June 25, 2018
Carl's  lung collapsed Monday night. He has fluid on his lungs and is on a breathing machine.  This will have to improve before surgery.

June 27th, They were able to take Carl off the ventilator! Thank God!
