Carl Mayes Memorial Service
Donation protected
Carl Mayes was an amazing, selfless, sweet man who loved his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Born on March 1st, 1964, for the past 53 years Carl has brought nothing but light into the lives of those who met him. He is survived by his wife Teresa, to whom he's been married for 27 years, his daughter Brittani (26) and his son Blake (21), his father Carl Sr, his sister Sharon, and his brother Jack.
To Carl, family was the most important thing in the world and he cherished every moment that he had with them. Carl worked at UPS for almost 30 years and, in doing so, established another family there that have grown to love and respect him over the years.
At 53 years young, Carl managed to establish some extremely long and powerful relationships with people, some of which span over 30 years. He has friends from high school that he would meet with regularly to play golf and fantasy football.
Carl was a huge sports fan. He loved every South Florida team. From the Miami Dolphins to the Miami Heat. He never missed a game and no matter how bad a game went, he cheered and fought with them to the last minute.
To everyone's shock and dismay, Carl went into cardiac arrest in his sleep on March 6th. He was quickly brought to a hospital and resuscitated but never woke up. He was in critical condition for 2 weeks through which all of his loved ones (family, friends, co-workers) stood by his side every single day. He passed away on March 19th at 10:13pm. His family is now left to prepare for his memorial service (TBD) and could use all the help they can get.
Anything will help, they want to give Carl the memorial service he deserved because he was always taking care of others. It's time we take good care of him.
