Kicking Cancer in the Ass for Carl! Life has a way of throwing unexpected curveballs that will sometimes feel like a total and complete knockout. One of these curveballs unfortunately hit our dear family member and friend, Carl. We are Brand Hydraulics and are setting up this Go Fund Me account to help and support our wonderful colleague Carl. Carl is the light in any room. His smile and energy is exceedingly contagious. He is a loyal, funny, dependable, loving, and amazing son, father, family member, friend, employee, and human being. In November of 2022, Carl experienced some symptoms to where he couldn't remember his train of thought (repeating things), heaviness in his leg, followed by a seizure. After several tests, it was determined that Carl had a rare form of stage IV cancer called Sarcomatoid Carcinoma, with having a tumor both on his brain and lung, along with lesions on his liver. Sarcomatoid Carcinoma is an aggressive (fast-growing) cancer that's a mix of carcinoma and sarcoma cancer types. Sarcomatoid Carcinoma spreads fast and is difficult to treat. Treatment may include surgery or clinical trials testing new, innovative therapies. Sarcomatoid Carcinoma is extremely rare. Only .1% to .4% of malignant (cancerous) lung tumors are Sarcomatoid Carcinoma. Carl recently underwent surgery to remove the tumor on his brain and is currently receiving radiation treatments on both his brain and his lung. We are asking for your financial support to assist with medical expenses, treatments, and any other expenses relating to the care of Carl as he continues to fight against this terrible disease.
